The CleanMochi app

What the app reads on your Mac

To do its job, CleanMochi reads information on your Mac: the name, size and date of the files it scans, your list of apps and when you last used them, the items that launch at startup, memory, CPU and disk usage, temperature, and your Mac's details (model, battery, security protections).

What the app sends

Nothing. This information is processed only on your Mac and is never sent to us. The app doesn't require an account, contains no analytics or ads, and doesn't send crash reports. The Log and your settings are stored on your Mac and go away when you delete the app and its files.

The "Apple warranty" button just opens Apple's website in your browser. CleanMochi doesn't send your serial number; you copy it yourself if you want to.

Updates

Right now, the app doesn't connect to any server. When automatic update checks are added, the app will ask our server whether a new version exists. Like any internet connection, that request will reveal your IP address and the app version, with no files or personal data. You'll be able to turn it off in Settings. We'll update this page before it goes live.

The cleanmochi.com website

The site sets no cookies, uses no trackers or analytics, shows no ads and has no forms. That's why there's no cookie banner.

• Hosting. Our host, Cloudflare, processes the technical data needed to serve the site and protect it from attacks: IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time. We don't use it to track you.
• Fonts. The site's fonts are hosted on our own site. Your browser doesn't contact any third-party service to display them.
• Video. The intro video is hosted on our own site, with no third-party platform.

When you email us

If you write to support@cleanmochi.com, for example to be told when the app launches, we receive your email address, your name if it's included, and your message. We only use them to reply to you or to send the launch notice you asked for. The legal basis is your request, and your consent for the launch notice.

• Launch notice requests: your address is deleted once the notice is sent.
• Other conversations: kept for 3 years after our last exchange, then deleted.

We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't share it with anyone except the email provider that hosts our mailbox on our behalf.

Transfers outside the European Union

NORY LLC and Cloudflare are based in the United States. When personal data from the European Union is processed there, the transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for providers that participate in it, or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email us at support@cleanmochi.com and we'll reply within one month.

If you think we're not respecting your rights, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr).

California residents: we do not sell or share your personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Children

CleanMochi collects no data through the app. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or under 15 in France) by email; if that has happened, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date. If the change affects the app, we'll also tell you in the app.
